Uuum, yeah. I'm a huge Washington Capitals fan (I know, sucks to be me). So, i figured, I might as well just MAKE a board for me to shout on, rather than creating a new one every time something good happens... You'll get used to it. (Incendentally, I'm also a big fan of the Red Wings, buuut... Well, it's a bit tougher to go to games in Detroit.) I don't care who you are (yes, even a heterosexual man), that's sexy. As is that, in a slightly different way. XD

Okay, now the reason I actually posted this board today: CAPS WON AGAINST THE THRASHERS 6-3 LAST NIGHT!!! Obviously I was there (I have tickets to all of the home weekend games), and I'm pretty sure this impressive victory was in celebration of my new seats which are A.) On the correct side of the ice and B.) Not directly in front of the loudest slobbering-drunk assholes you will ever encounter. Seriously, they come in already drunk, and they keep drinking all damn night. And you can hear them across the stadium. Bonus: Every time the caps score more than six goals in a game, your ticket gets you a free pound of wings at Austin Grill. I, of course, have no idea where that is, but it's the thought that counts. This game's goal-getters (from the caps, 'cause who cares about the Thrashers?) are... Niklas Backstrom Jeff Schultz Matt Pettinger Alexander Ovechkin Mike Green (2)

CAPS/REDWINGS GAME TODAY!!!For those who don't know (ie, everyone) the Red Wings were my original favorite team (I first got into hockey when I was living in Michigan), and are still a firm second. It's just that I know the Caps sooo much better. They only play ONCE this year, and it's ON A MONDAY, IN DETROIT. Still, it's better than last year (they didn't play each other at all), and I'm excited. I know it doesn't matter to anyone HERE ('cause I'm the only person I know who's into hockey), but here are the guys I'll be watching: Alex Ovechkin. Always. Mike Green. This dude is hungry. I mean it. He's a defenseman, and yet he's one of the more consistant goal-getters for the team (In fact, I've just looked it up, and he leads all NHL defensemen in goals as of Saturday). I'm just waiting on his hat trick. Niklas Backstrom. For a rookie, he's really exciting to watch. Unfortunately, he is one of two Niklas Backstroms in the NHL. Brent Johnson. He's the back-up goalie, but rumor has it they might play him tonight. By and large, I kind of think both our goalies are a bit washed-up at this point (I really wish we could purchase Cam Ward off of Carolina), but at least Johnson doesn't get so mad he can't see pucks when the game starts going badly. Valtteri Filppula. Whose name is spelled like crap. XD There were two penalty shots last Wings game, which is like WTF, because penalty shots almost never happen. But the point is, Filppula got the second, and got it in. Not that that's why I'm watching him: he's exciting. I just thought that was noteworthy. Henrik Zetterberg. He's another of those you should always watch. I believe he and Ovie are tied for second in goals right now, but they've been trading that off for a while. I think maybe Kovulchuk is first. BTW, despite a loss when I was there on Friday, the Caps are actually doing quite well the past few games.

OMG I CAN FINALLY BREATHE AGAIN!!!! It's been a month since I've gone to a hockey game, but I went today. I feel so much better.
Caps lost, but whatever.
So, they were playing the Caps Q&A, like they do, and the question was "Who's the biggest Ladies' Man." And everyone's like "Brooks Laich." But then they get to Ovechkin, and he's like, and I'm quoting exactly, "Uuuuuhmmm.... *moment of silence, then biiiig smile* You're looking at him. Hi ladies!" LOL! I heart him so hard.
